The charts below show the percentage of water used for agricultural purposes in six areas of the world

The pie charts illustrates the rate of utilisation of water for industrial agricultural and domestic use in some continents of the world (America Europe Africa and Asia).

Overall, agricultural activities is more pronounced in Africa Asia and South American continents as opposed to North America and Europe which rather implored the use of water for industrial purposes more than other means. Additionally water for domestic reasons has its lowest use in Africa and Asia.

For North America and Europe, the consumption of water is similar for industrial, agricultural and domestic use (48%, 53%), also there's no substantial difference in their farming practice (39% and 10% respectively). The same is observed in household utilisation of water (10% and 15% respectively).

On the other hand, Africans and Asians consumed water for farm work more than factory and house use (84%, 88% and 81%) for agriculture and (9% 7% and 7%) for domestic.
