The bar chart depicts information regarding the proportion of population use internet, the pie graph illustrates the average spending of shopping online per individual both in five European countries in 2000.
Overall, Sweden and the United Kingdom had the highest percentage of internet users and shopping online on average, whereas Spain had the slowest percent in those examined areas.
Regarding the proportion of internet users, Sweden had the highest percent at 35%, followed by the United Kingdom at 20%. 10% of French use internet, which was two thirds of the figure for Germany. Spain only had 5% of population use internet in 2000.
In terms of the average consumption of shopping on the internet per person, the United Kingdom and Sweden also had the largest proportion, with 87% and 76% respectively. Spain continuously had the smallest figure with 10%, which less approximately fourfold and sixfold than Germany and France, at 44% and 57% respectively.
