The charts illustrate the figure of children who learn musical instruments between 1996 and 2016 in the UK

Overall, What stands out from the graphs is a gradual increase in the percentage of children learning a musical instrument. Besides that, it can be easily seen that the number of children who enrolled to study keyboard and piano was very crowned.

Looking at the pie charts for more detail, the number of children who were not interested in learning musical instruments in 1996 made up more than half the children’s figure, however, after the next 10 years, there was a significant decrease in that number and it just took the responsibility for a quarter.

Regarding the bar chart, the piano was an instrument that was the favorite subject of children in 1996, with 30%. Following that is the keyboard with more than 20%, while just over 10% the number of children learning electric guitar and violin at 12% and 13%, respectively, and children studying more than one instrument took up 11% at the same time. Over 10 years, the learner of keyboards increased significantly and reach the highest figure, at 30%, whereas, the percentage of piano learner experimented a slight decrease to nearly 26%.
