The below diagram depicts, the process of generating electricity in hydroelectricity power station and distributing to national power grid.

Overall, as shown in diagram, process start with reserving water in high level reservoir and end with transferring the generated power to national grid. This process works into two intake- day and night, while it remains open in daylight and closed at night.

To begin with, firstly water is collected in high level reservoir by making dam in the river. In day shift, water flow towards the power station, which high speed flow helps to spine the reversible turbines. When the turbine spine it helps to operate generator and current was produced. This produces current are transfer to the national grid via power line to distribute to the public. While, the excess water will be collected in low level reservoir.

Turning to the night shift, water from low level reservoir was pumped back to the high- level reservoir, which help to spine turbines and current was produces in night and again it was distributed to the national grid, and the process continue every day.
