The flow chart illustrates the manufacturing of bricks in full process. As is observed, the whole process lasts a period of approximately 120 hours, from digging clay to delivery.
In the initial step, clay is collected by diggers from land of certain quality, then placed on a metal grid, which let the small particles of clay through to a roller. The next step is to mix the clay with sand and water, after which two methods can be taken to build the basic form of bricks. Either a mould or a wire cutter is used in this stage.
As soon as the original form is made, a drying oven is used to dry out the moisture, where the bricks remain for 24 to 48 hours before getting heated in kilns, at a moderate 200;c to 980;c temperature at first, then a high of 870 and 1300oC. After that, bricks are placed in a cooling chamber for another two or three days before packaging and then delivered to construction sites.
