The first chart presents the proportion of energy consumed in six different household activities averagely, while the second chart gives the information about how much amount of greenhouse gas is emitted from those household tasks in Australia.
Overall, heating exhibits the maximum proportion of energy consumption, whereas cooling is the home task, which not only consumes lower energy but also produces minimum amount greenhouse gas, as compared to others.

Though heating contributes 42% of total energy consumption, it only creats 15% greenhouse fume. Water heating is the second highest energy wasted task (exactly 30% of energy), but, maximum 32% of detrimental greenhouse fume is introduced by this household activity. Refrigerator spends 7% of household energy, though it provides double amount of greenhouse gas.

Moreover, cooling and lighting are the lowest category services that waste only 2% and 4% of total energy respectively. Because of this low energy consumption, these also contributes minimal CFC (commercial name of greenhouse gas) gas emission. 3% for cooling and 8% for lighting. Other appliances contribute huge for spreading CFC gas into the air and consume exactly 15% of total energy.
