The following bar chart shows the different modes of transport used to travel to and from work in one European city in 1960, 1980 and 2000

The bar chart illustrates the changing pattern of vehicles used in travel to work and back to home in European city, from 1960 to 2000.

Overall, the chart shows the use of car in European cities, were increased by dramatically throughout the period, while and others fell.

To begin with, the use of car as a main means of transport in Europe was just above 5% in 1960, which was the most least among all others, but the car increase steadily and strongly, reached about 37% in 2000, which is considered as a highest transport service used by European.

Over the same period, walking was the most favorite means of travelling in 1960, at approximately 35%, fell to 10% by 2000. However, bike was the second preferred transport to go around by European in 1960, and the figure was recorded roughly 27%, by the time it decreased and end with 8% in 2000, as least demanded means of vehicle.

Moreover, the figure of bus was erratic and popularity was 20% in 1960 for European, while the demand fell in 2000 with 17%, after reaching peak at 27% in 1980.
