The bar chart compares the figures for 5 different phone brands in terms of sales around the world during a period 4 years.
It is clear that from the chart the global sales of Nokia and Samsung were the highest over the research period. Additionally, while the figure of Samsung increase dramatically, the sales of Nokia considerable decreased as we can see.
In 2009, the sales of Nokia phone were highest, at around 450 million units, while the figure for Samsung was significantly lower, over 220 million devices. In 2011, whereas the number of Nokia phones were sold in worldwide market slightly fell, there was a remarkable rise in the sales of Samsung by 100 million units. Over the next two years, Nokia saw a continuous decline in the quantity of its sold phones to the same as figure of Samsung in the previous two years. By contrast, the sales of Samsung phone enormously went up to approximately 460 million mobile phones, which made Samsung become the market leader.
Turning to other three brands, Apple phone became more popular than LG and ZTE. In 2013, there was a considerable rise in its sales to nearly 150 million devices, while LG witnessed a gradual decrease in its sales to about 80 units. Finally, as we can see that the number of ZTE phones were bought by customers around the world climbed up steadily to 60 million devices in the same year.
