The line graph below compares the average proportions of energy production and the level of its consumption in the USA between the time period of 1950 and 2020 and projected consumption to 2025.

A glance at the figure reveals that, an overwhelming majority of energy were consumed by the United State of America than its production counterparts and the level of consumption will be increased over the period of time.

As a matter of fact, in 1950 the USA production of fossil fuel was 20 units and the production were more than doubled in next 25 years, with fluctuate in quantity in the first few years. After that there was a rapid fluctuation was noticed in terms of overall manufacturing of energy up to the present moment, though the average unit of fossil fuel were increased marginally and it is expected to continuing reaching up to 75 unit of energy production in 2025. Moreover, the USA consumed a little above energy than its production in its initial year and up to the present this trend showed an upward trend, with marginal fluctuation in average units in between the period and it is interesting to note that the consumption of fossil fuel in the USA is predicted to increased dramatically in last five years where it is expected to increase by 40 units at the end of the period in question.
