The stipulated bar diagram depicts the information regarding the role of three major sectors in Britain's economy during the twentieth century. The mentioned parameters are agriculture, manufacturing, business and finance.

It has been clear from the data that during the start of the century agriculture sector dominated the UK's economy, accounted for almost half of the total economy (49%). This rising trend continued till the middle of the century and then started to decline and ended up in lowest contributor (2%) to the economy in 2000. Likewise manufacturing sector also showed similar pattern.It's figures were dip in to just 15% from 45%, at the end of the period.

On the contrary, Business and financial sector showed a completely different trend. In 1900, it had only accounted for less than 5% of the economy. But, by 1950's the sector were able to hold more than 10% of the total economy. Just over 25 years of time the proportion were almost doubled to 20%. One important point to be noted that, at the end of the century it had accounted for one third of the total economy.

In conclusion, In the start of the twentieth century traditional sectors like agriculture and manufacturing dominated Great Britain's economy. While, business and financial sector taken over this lead when the economy was moved to modern era.
