The given line chart provides insights into how many inquiries are collected by the Tourist Information Office in a particular city via three means of communication over 6 months in 2011.
Looking from an overall perspective, although in January, the number of face-to-face inquiries was the smallest figure from the chart, after six months with an increasing trend it came out on top in June. While inquiring by email or letter experienced a downward tendency and became the least common choice opted.
In detail, there was a reverse tendency between the two ways of communication. First, in January, the figure for face-to-face inquiries was the smallest number, with only 400, and after a significant increase, in March, this figure doubled, to 800. And from March to June, the figure for direct inquiries continually went up and reached its peak at 1900. By contrast, the figure for inquiring by letter or email, started at 800 in January and then halved in June, to approximately 400.
Turning to the other method remaining, at the beginning of the period, the number of enquires by telephone was roughly 900, which was the highest figure in the first month of the year 2011. From January to February, this figure declined slightly to 800, and still became the highest number in February. Before remaining unstable at 100 from March to April, this figure increased by 200. From April, the number of inquiries by telephone underwent a noticeable upsurge, and ranked the second position in June, with 1600.
