The graph below demonstrates the variation of private use of cd player, mobile phone, home computer and internet access in the UK over the course seven years started from 1996.

Looking at the graph, it can be see that the trend was upward in all four devices. There has been a gradual increased in the cd player,PC and internet access .However, mobile phone roses erratically .In1996, cd player had the biggest percentage with 60%, doubled home computer with 30% and almost tripled mobile phone with 20%. The internet access only appeared in 1998 with approximately 10% but then rocketed to more than 405 in 2003. The mobile phone was the smallest in 1996 by it overcomed the home computer to become the second biggest .In 2003, cd player still had the biggest figure with above 80% while the internet access had the smallest .
