The given line graph illustrates the levels of manufacturing primary fuels in a nation within Europe between 1981 and 2000.
Overall, the production levels of the petroleum and natural gas increased, while that of the coal decreased. It is also noticeable that the petroleum was the fuel which was produced the most during the provided period of time.
In the beginning year 1981, the petroleum started with 100 tons, as the highest production level. It grew in the next two years and leveled out until 1987. After that time, the petroleum witnessed a decreased to the same figure at the start in 1989, and still fell slightly to under 100 tons until 1992. The coal began in the second position at 80 tons, and remained unchanged until 1984. Then it dropped to under 60 tons in 1985 and rose to around 70 tons in 1987. After that time, it began to decreased gradually until 1992. The natural gas started with half of the coal in the beginning, and stayed unchanged until 1992.
Within the remaining period of time, the petroleum saw an increase to around 140 tons in 1996, and fluctuated around 120 tons until the final year, maintaining the dominant position. The coal kept on dropping steadily to under 40 tons in the end, being in the lowest position. The natural gas remained unchanged until 1994, then experienced an upward trend to over 80 tons in the end, as the second place.
