The line graph provides information about the average monthly salary of Japanese people between 1953 and 1983. in addition, how much yen for black and white televisions and color televisions over the same time.

Overall, there were two opposite trends for these 3 figures. While the income of the Japanese witnessed a progress, the prices of color TV and black and white TV reduced during the same period.

Looking at the chart for more details, it can be seen that the salary of citizens in Japan had the lowest point in 1970, about 20 yen, but then it improved enormously from 1980 to 2000, and hit 70 yen. Turning to the cost of black and white TV, starting at 110 yen, which reached its highest point in 1970, but over 10 years, it started to drop significantly from 110 to 40 yen. Moreover, it decreased gradually and stopped at 20 yen in 2000. The similar trend was true for the costs of color TV, starting at 100 yen, it declined tremendously from 100 to 50 yen in the following 20 years.
