The table gives data about the proportion of cinema visitors out of the whole population in Australia with the frequency of visiting between 1996 and 2000. The line graph illustrates the cinema visits according to 4 age groups from 14 years old to 50 plus.
Overall, most Australians would like to go to the cinema, as a result, the average visits were considerably stable. Additionally, cinema visits according to age groups experienced a fluctuation over the period of 5 years.
It can be seen in the table that cinema attendants always took up more than half of Australia’s population, specifically, the figure maintained stability of 62-72% from 1996 to 2000. In terms of frequency, the average number of visits was 10.3 in 1996, then increased to 11.1 in 1997, before being steady at 8.2-8.3 in the next 3 years.
According to the line graph, throughout the period, the figures for 4 age groups were stably up and down at around 10 visits each year. Besides, the youngest group, 14-24, was account for the highest percentage of cinema visits in Australia, which was 15 at least and 24 at peak.
