The line graphs below compares the average proportions of male and female who have involved in permanent and temporary work in Australia between the time period of 1973 and 1993.
Over this two decade period, the overall employment of men and women fluctuate significant throughout the period and it was considerably noticed during old age.
As a matter of fact, working as a full time job was quite popular and stable in case of male population compared to female in both period and the decreased ratio of male with full time job were started from the age group of 50 whereas female decline pattern were initiated from 30 years of their age. Similarly, there was a more female who have part time job in 1993 compared to male, about 32 percent of female with age group of 15-19 have job in comparison to 22 percent of male who have involved temporary job in same year, however both sex have the equal number of people (9 percent in each category) continuing temporary job in 1973. It is interesting to note that almost all showed a decrease pattern of employment in age group of 60 and above except male part time work which actually started to rise in the question.
