The maps below show the centre of a small town called islip as it is now ans plans for its development.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

One of the two presented blueprints is the outlay of Islip town at present and the other one depicts the possible improvement that could be done at the town centre.A quick glance at these maps show the major plan.

Fortunately, many plans were at work to develop the centre. One of which is expanding the shops and replaced with bus halt, shopping mall and car park along with new housing lanes on either side i.e., north and south side of the main road which would be changed later to a walkers road.

The distinguishing part was the two lane road all around the centre with Y junctions on eastern and western side connecting the school ,housing ,park and other important places. For this purpose the partial area of park and major area of farm area was cut off.

However, school, housing , and shops to the south side of pedestrian road remain unchanged.
