The two pie charts compare how people in Canada and Australia keep track of news.
Canadians primarily get information through TV and online. The largest percentage of Canadians is recorded in those watching the news on TV, at 40%, followed closely by those reading news online, at 36%. In Australia, these types of accessing news are also most preferred. However, online passes over TV, with over half of Australians read news online, which is 15% higher than those watching the news on TV.
The three rest of methods: Print, radio and not specified are minor methods. The total percentage of Canadian people using these ways is double this figure in Australia, at 24%. People getting news through the paper in Canada is 14%, twice higher than the proportion of those in Australia. Similarly, those listening to the news on the radio account for 7% of Canadians, while this figure in Australia is 2%.
Overall, TV and online are the most popular methods of keeping track of news in Australia and Canada, with a smaller percentage of people using minor methods are seen in Australia.
