The table below gives information about student enrolments at Bristol University in 1928 1958 and 2008 Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant

The table provides information about student enrolments in Bristol University in three different periods: 1928, 1958 and 2008.

For what concerns the first year, just a small amount of 218 students enrolled: this low amount is probably due to the fact that in 1928, with the First World War finished just from few years, there was a big economic crisis.

In addition, it is not difficult to imagine that the percentage of men was higher than the women one, which were pretty discriminated at that time: 58% against 42%.
What surprises instead is the fact that near Bristol, just 30 miles away, the percentage registered was of 50%: the reason may be that in that period, there were some more famous and prestigious universities than in Bristol.

Nevertheless, these data analysed are superior to the ones registered in 3 places overseas: just a 5% in comparison to Bristol than evidently reacted differently from the other countries still suffering from war.

Just 30 years later, in 1958, the percentages of students enrolled boosted, reaching a pick of 1,046 but still maintaining an inferior number of girls respect to boys: 32% against 68%.

However, Bristol University’s fame seemed to be already expanded at that time, with just a 14% coming from enrolments near to this city.

At the end, in the last year analysed (2008) the significant change regards the number of women that finally overcame men and a positive trend of the percentages of the world with a 28% in comparison to 5% in 1928 as mentioned before and 6% in 1958.
