The table indicated the index of students’ reflection on different aspects of a university over a 5-year interval of 2000, 2005 & 2010. Information was given in percentage, illustrated teaching quality, range of modules offered, buildings/teaching facilities, print & electronics resources.
As we could see, the data had the tendencies of going up, with an exception for the variation of provided modules. Given modules were reported to gain a 5-percentages-decrease rating for 10 years, from 32% to 27% - and also ranked as least preferred aspects for 3 given period. The equipments were rated equally from 2000 to 2010, at 77%. According to the students, teaching quality and print resources was not always at good pace. Whereas, teaching quality slightly fell of in the first 5 year and recovered up to 69%. Print resouces’ grades reflected different trend. It peaked at 89% in 2005 and minimal slipped by 1% 5 years later. Out of 5 categories, electronic resources revealed to be favoured by students: from 45% scored in 2000 – only place over the least of 32, its mark jumped to be in 3rd position in 2005 and peaked top of 88% in 2010.
With 88 percentages scored, print and electronic resources are two groups ranked top – also 1.3 times higher than 2nd place and 3.3 times much more than the categories rated least. According to the data, the university should invest more on the provision for modules as well as stablize the teaching quality, as to satisfy their students.
