The table illustrates the annual average precipitation per month in 5 cities namely Hongkong, Tokyo, Jakarta, Cairo, and London. The scale is in mm.
Overall, Jakarta has the highest monthly average rainfall, while in Cairo is the lowest in comparison with other cities.
In the first quarter of the year, the average precipitation in Jakarta was 300 mm per month, which started to decrease in March to 21. The average monthly rainfall in Jakarta and was steadily falling till August and reached 60 mm. From September to December there were dramatic jump, 70 and 210 respectively.
At the beginning of the period, monthly precipitation was 24mm, which was rising with geometrical progression to August to 380 mm. After that, it was significantly decreasing and reached 34mm in December.
The average monthly rainfall in Tokyo showed the most precipitation in the summer months, where it was in the range 150 mm and 190 mm, while in the winter monthly rainfall was about 50 mm. The average rainfall in Cairo was about 3-4 mm, it reached its peak in August (27 mm). The precipitation in London was without significant fluctuation in the range between 45 mm and 80 mm per month.
