The pie charts, illustrates the changes occured to the annual expenditure of a school in the United Kingdom during 1981,1991 and 2001.

Overall, it can be seen that, the highest spending during the years was on teachers salaries. The lowest spending was on insurance during the period.

To begin, the spending on teachers salaries rose and declined during the years, from 40% in 1981 to 50% in 1991 and then to 45% in 2001. The spending on other workers salaries also decreased during the period, from just under 30% in 1981 to less that a fifth in 2001. The spending on resources fluctuated during the years from 15% to 20% in 1981 and 1991 and reaching just below 10% in 2001.

With regards to insurance, the spending rose from 2%(1981) to 3%(1991), and by the end of the this figure stood at 8%. However, in the case of furniture and equipments, the spending declined from less than a fifth in 1981 to 5% in 1991. Surprisingly, after 1991 the spending rose and the by the end of the period it stood at 23%.
