The pie chart below shows the main reasons why agricultural land becomes less productive. The table shows howthese causes affected three regions of the world during the 1990s.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The supplied table illustrates the percentage of lands degraded in three regions of the earth by three major causes namely, deforestation, over-cultivation, and over-grazing in the 1990’s, while the pie chart depicts how much these causes brought such land degradation.

Overall, it can be seen that European lands has been affected the most with 9.8 percent of lands deforested, 7.7 percent over-cultivated lands, and 5.5 lands over-grazed, amounting to 23 percent of lands degraded, whereas in the pie chart, over-grazing at 35 percent, was the major cause of land degradation.

Oceania stood next to Europe with an overall 13 percent lands affected, with shockingly the highest of lands over-grazed at 11.3 percent, 1.7 lands deforested but no over-cultivation happened in its lands. The North America accumulated a minimal of 5 percent in total of its lands degraded with only 0.2 percent lands deforested, 3.3 percent over-cultivated land, and 1.5 over-grazed lands.

Over-cultivation at 35 percent, followed as the second highest cause of lands degradation, deforestation at only 27 percent, leaving other causes of land degradation at only 7 percent.
