The table and charts below give information on the police budget for 2017 and 2018 in one area of Britain. The table shows where the money came from and the charts show how it was distributed.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
You should write at least 150 words.

The pictures illustrate the information about the origin of the police's budget and on what category the money was spent in 2017 and 2018 in one area of England.

It is clear that the police received most of their money from the National Government in both years and the total budget witnessed an increase between two years. Moreover, the proportion of spending on salaries has the highest figure between three category where these money was spent.

In both 2017 and 2018, the National Government contributed 175.5 millions and 177.8 millions to the police's budget respectively, almost 5 times larger than the contribution of other sources, which is 38 million in 2017 and 38.5 millions in 2018. Local taxes are responsible for 91.2 millions in 2017 and slightly róe that figure to 102.3 million in 2018.

In 2017, 75 percent of the budget was spent to pay for the salaries, almost 10 times that proportion of expenditure on technology. In 2018, the proportion of spending on buildings and transport remained 17% as last year, while the spending on technology increased by 6% and the spending on salaries slided down to 69%.
