The bar chart below gives information about the percentage of the population living in urban areas in the whole world and in different parts of the world.

This bar chart gives information about the percentage of the population living in urban areas in five regions of the world in three different years, 1950, 2007 and 2030. Overall, the percentage of the world's population living in urban areas in 2030 will be just over twice what it was in 1950.

In North America we can see that 64% of people already lived in cities by 1950, increasing to 79% by 2007, then it is rising by 15% in 2030. However, there will be twice as many Latin America and the Caribbean lived in cities in 1950 as there will be in eighty later years. In Europe, there 72% of the people lived in cities in 2007, slightly increasing by about 7% in 2030.

Finally, in Asia and Africa have not many people living in cities in the future instead of that there is a greater change than in other notions. According to the chart, the percentage of people who live in cities in1950 is tripling to over fifty percent <span style="font-size: 19.36px;">in the next eight decades.</span>
