Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my interest to participate as an active volunteer to serve in the charity programme conduct by your association. Allow me to introduce myself , I am a doctor specialised in Surgery working in a reputed hospital "Green Valley" since fifteen years . Indeed, I opted this profession mainly due to my intense desire to help people in need which is why I am extremely keen to be a part of this event.
Moreover, I have good experience of volunteering as, almost every year I do participate in such noble deeds. Last year, "Help" group had organised a welfare programme to raise funds for the operation of blind children which was quite successful and being a doctor I was able to convince my ophthalmologist peers to perform the surgeries at nominal charges.
Since, I am aware of the fact that this occurrence is in regards to collect money for the treatment of the leprosy patients, it would be feasible for me to persuade common masses to donate generously by educating them about this disease. Also, I will try to induce some of the physician doctors to treat these patients at a very reasonable fee.
