Percentage of UK people who consumed daily recommended amount of fruit and vegetable in 2002 2006 and 2010

Essay topics:

Percentage of UK people who consumed daily recommended amount of fruit and vegetable in 2002, 2006 and 2010.

The given bar chart represents the proportions of populations, segregated as men, women, and children, who had a balanced diet with sufficient amounts of fruits and vegetables during three different years - 2002, 2006, and 2010.

It clearly stands out that the trend of consumption has been the same for all the three years, where an increase was reported from 2002 to 2006, to be followed by a decline in the year 2010 for all the three demographics.

While the men reported a 4 point increase in healthy food intake from 2002 (22%) to 2006 (26%), the women and children seemed to have had a slightly higher climb with 7 percentage points, where the rise for the former was 25% to 32% and the proportions of the latter were 11% to 18%. And coming to 2010, although its overall percentages are higher than that of 2002, they are lower compared to what was reported in 2006, with the number of men and children who took a healthy diet falling at the same rate of 2 percentage points, ending up at 24% and 16% respectively. and the women's healthy intake dropping even further by 6 points.

During all three years, the female population stood high at consuming recommended foods, and falling second to them is the male demographic leaving the children to be the ones with the least healthy consumption throughout.
