Dear Sir/Mam,
I am writing this letter to express my gratitude for considering me for the position of General Manger in your esteemed company. I felt extremely delighted to receive the offer letter as I found the job description quite challenging and interesting, however, I would like to sincerely apologize as I would not be able to accept the offer due to some of my personal reasons.
From the offer letter I happened to know that I have been recruited for the Manesar location which is unfortunately very far off from my current residence, Noida. Manesar is around 50-60km from Noida and it takes around 1.5 to 2 hours to commute from Noida to Manesar. Being a patient of cervical spondylosis, my doctor has strictly advised me to avoid long hours travelling. So, it is extremely difficult for me join the Manesar office.
Moreover, I like my current job a lot because of the work content and no travel time. My current office is very near by and hardly takes 10 minutes to reach. In addition, I have the flexibility to work from home as well. I can manage both my office and home quite efficiently and without much stress.
I hope you would be able to understand my situation and would offer this job position to the next best suited candidate. Thanks for considering me for this position once again and sorry for all the inconvenience caused.
