I am so glad to hear that your already make a decision to New Zealand, I understand the first time is exciting as well as a advanture so let give you some advises.
I would say you'd better come to here in autumn because all the tasty fruits is ready so if you come we could go to orchard pick the friuits that we like. Besides, the autumn yellow leaves will make sunning views in the season because you will see a wide range of color on the mountains.
I suggest you go to South Island to stay in Queentown for a week, you do not have to plan just walk along the lake, the peaceful is the best natural experiences that you could remember for a long time.
We have a guest room in Auckland so after your South Island trip, you can come and stay here. You cannot image that how I excited about our reunion.
