Writing Task 1 (a letter)

You will be moving to a new office soon. Write a letter to the general manager to request some necessary equipment for your future office. In your letter say

– What equipment will you need and when?
– Explain why you will need it.
– Suggest where to get it from and why.

Respected Manager,
Greetings for the day.!!

I am Divya, from HR department of Anand Branch. Since our office is shifting in 100 ft Road, from Sardar Gunj in coming next month so I am writing this letter to you as we need some special equipments for our new office.

Firstly, I need a Coffee and tea dispensing machine. The head-office has decided to dispose-off the old machine in this office. Moreover, some of the furniture such as the conference table is being sent to the nearby Gurgaon office. Consequently, I will need a new one to conduct staff meetings and discuss business with clients. The projector, unfortunately, was damaged during the shifting process. The movers and takers will reimburse the damages to the company. However, I urgently need a wifi-enabled projector to discuss various business issues with team members and clients.

I know you will provide all these products from our trusted vendors with whom we are dealing since years but I suggest you to buy these from local vendors. I know very good and trusted vendors in local price who can offer competitive prices and great after sales service to us and this way we can save the company's budget.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards,
Divya
