You and your family are living in rented accommodation in an English speaking country. You are not satisfied with the condition of some of the furniture.

Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter
• introduce yourself
• explain what is wrong with the furniture
• say what action you would like the landlord to take

Dear Mr. smith,

I am writing this letter to show my dissatisfaction regarding the furniture that offered in my rented apartment. I belong to Spain and moved here in Canada along with my family and worked as a lecturer at Seneca college, Toronto.

Although, it is impossible to get everything perfect in a new living place but the issues related to routinely use items is not ignored. Firstly, the screws of the main door are too loose that makes to shatter the door during opening/ closing it and also put our security at risk. Moreover, the sofa-sets are not comfortable enough, the outer cover of it torn out as well the internal springs of seats came out that cause pain when seating for few hours. Besides this, window glass of kitchen area broken previously that adds up additional discomfort to work in the kitchen.

To resolve these problems, I would appreciate if you could tighten the front door screws along with that replace window panels. I suggest to remove the sofa-sets as we do not have any necessity of it.

I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem.

Yours sincerely,
abc
