Dear Ms Betty,
I, recently, took a short-term course on making custom-made cakes and pastries at your Institute of Fine Cooking at Brisbane during the EID break in August 2019.
I was delighted to find out how well structured the course instruction and material were provided to the student. I baked different types of cakes and decorated them based on various themes. During the course, we learnt how to make chocolate ganache and butter cream frosting, right from scratch. Apart from my interest in baking, I enjoy doing some social work in my free time. Within a week, after finishing our classes, along with some of my classmates at the Institute, we prepared a batch of 80 cupcakes for orphan kids from Paradise for kids. All the students have a unanimous view that the Institute should conduct classes on how to make deserts from Turkish and Arabian cuisine including recipes like Bakhlawa and Kanafeh, which are very difficult delicacies to prepare.
