I am writing this letter to apprise you about an error in "Know the unknown" column in the 1st April 2018 print of your newspaper: The Times Of India. In that article, you mentioned about Doctors across India who have revolutionized the treatment of Diabetes by contributing in the field of Medicine.
Under the heading of 7th Rank, you mentioned Dr Arun Kumar and his contribution of formulating a new combination of the drug for the treatment of Diabetes in the year 2002. However, it was in the year 2007 that his approach was accepted by the Indian Medical Association. Also, Since he is a close friend of mine, and I have in fact worked with him before, I am aware that he is still practising medicine since 35 years and not 5 years unlike mentioned in your article. If I am right, he said, he plans to retire after the next 5 years because of his health issues.
I hope you will do the amendments and reprint the article with correct information in your upcoming week's health page. I am a devoted reader and will wait for the next article.
