People are living longer. Some people think that it causes big problems. Others, however, think the aging population has many advantages for business, government and society in general. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Many people are convinced that the aging population can create many onerous problems while others think these population can bring many assets for the business, government as well as society. This essay sheds light on both viewpoints and gives my own opinion.
There are several reasons why many hold a belief that older people could bring many drawbacks in the life. Firstly, it strains on welfare state when budgets are stretched thin because the aging population drive up medical and pension payments. Secondly, the greying population leads to higher retirement age in the sense that they would be in the job market for a longer duration. If the world of work fails to create new jobs, the end results can be fewer occupations available to younger people.
On the contrary, others suggest that people live longer may offer the number of blessings to business, society as well as the government. From a business perspective, many companies capitalize on products and services with the sole objective to cater to their needs. More importantly, the aging population can be the economic powerhouse, which is no doubt a good thing for any government. For society, older people who have a wealth of skills and experiences. To be more specific, they are living museum of traditions and values, their skills and experiences could be implemented to survive values and traditions which always face the risk of being forgotten.
For both advantages and liabilities mentioned above, the ageing population carries with not only benefits but also the development of human in the earth.

Most of the people thinks that people having long life span can cause troubles to society. Nevertheless, senior citizens are beneficial to society, business and government. I would like to say here that having senior citizen in family is very benison for today’s generation. I will discuss my views below.
There are several reasons why many holds a belief that older people could bring many drawbacks in the life.Firstly, old generation people can not take care of themselves. They are dependent on their families,mostly if they have any illness such as Cardiac issues, Unable to walk, Respiratory issues, Arthritis. The person with such disorders need extra take care and having high medical expenses for these sickness. Sometimes, they become curse for other family members who are not ready to take these high expenses of older person. Secondly, Government has to spend lot of their funds for senior citizens .To illustrate this, such as Constructing old age homes, free food, Pension, free travel service, reservations in train and buses. If there are less number of people with old age ,government can use this money in other investment for country.
Although, greying population can cause troubles, they are blessings to our society. Having an older person in family is more than anything. They will give us unconditional love and support. They will bring us closer to our culture and rituals. In today’s time, young generation needs guidance from their grandparents to lead a right path in their life. Alongwith this, older person has high level of experience as they have experienced more hurdles in their life which make them to take right decisions at right time and take business, industry to another heights, such as CEO of any company, our politicians all are experienced person.
Though older generation are causing troubles they are suspicious to society and government. According to me we really need them in our family, country and society. They are advantageous to make us attach with our culture.
