Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

To improve the quality of education, universities should spend more money on salaries for university professors.

Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

The quality of education is a very important issue for every college across the world. University administrations try their best to enhance the quality of learning process in order to make a place where knowledge and experience easily are transferred from professors to students. Some universities decide to increase professor's salaries to achieve the goal. In my opinion, I think this is not a wise decision and in the following paragraphs, I will elaborate my explanations.

Firstly, there are other more effective ways to enhance the quality of education in the universities. Additional financial resources could be used to hold more scholarship and grants for talented students in the university. These awards will definitely increase the competition between students to learn as much as possible when they attend the class. For example, universities can hold an award for the best term paper for each course they attend. In this way, the students will try to work hard in order to win the prize. Besides, the money could be utilized to bring additional facilities and experimental apparatus to the university laboratories. The laboratory with many devices and apparatus brings additional opportunity for students who want do a research experimentally. These research work in return will lead to the graduation of more qualified students which is representative of the high-quality education.

Furthermore, the universities should try to encourage their professors to compete for external funded projects to be carried out in the college. The funded projects would be great opportunity for the professors to build the facility and also conduct the cutting-edge research which is ann important factor for preparing the students for the job market. In addition, these funded projects can bring a reputation to the university for being an in close relationship with industry. The students will be benefited from theses cooperation by finding more opportunity to do internships in industry.
Lats but not least, the university with professors who earn so much money every month will bring a sense of inequality for other individuals in the college. For example, the research staff in the university will be disappointed with seeing the difference between salary he owns with professors. Maybe the laboratory technician also be less encouraged to do well in the lab while seeing a huge gap between technician's salary with professor's one. The sense of inequality may bring negative effect to the education of students since every person should be motivated to do his responsibilities if the university tries to be best in student’s education .

To put in a nutshell, I believe increasing salaries of university professors will not lead to enhance the quality of education. There are other ways to reach this goal rather than decision this one.
