Every parent have to educate and give good discipline to their children. But the main problem is how to discipline our children and which way should we use?
Lets start with a question; Can punishment a good way to discipline our children?
There are many side effects of punishment. We have to know that discipline is related to teaching but punishment is related to harm. So while educating the kids we have to use positive reinforcemen instead of punishment.
I remember my elemntary class teacher. He was hard and aggressive. He hit my both hands 5 times because of multiplication table. I couldnt memorize the 7 th row of multiplication table and he furiously hit my both hands. I cried for 5 minutes and never forget it. I hate from my teacher for a long time and feel a distance to him until I graduate from 3rd grade and forced my father to change my school for the next year.
And I remember my science teacher: Students never talk to her classes, and listen to her carefully. She had known her subject perfectly and known how to manege the classroom.
As a conclusion, parents have to respect their children's personality and decisions. They should read books about education and discipline. Also they can join conferences that related to child education.
