It is mentioned that beetles larva eat the wood of yellow cedars. This point is challenged by the lecturer. He says that healthy cedars are resistant, and they secrets some poisonous chemical materials which protect them against of beetles. Furthermore, he argues that beetles attack sick and damaged cedars.

Secondly, the author contends that brown bears cause to reduce the population of yellow cedars. The article notes that beers claw at trees for finding sugar sources, so they led to weakening yellow cedars. In contrast, the lecturer disputes this point and clarifies the fact that beers are not responsible for decreasing yellow cedars. He elaborates on this by mentioning that a decrease of cedars trees are in islands which there are no beers, so reducing the population of yellow cedars are not related to beers.

Finally, the author states that climate change affects the root system of trees. The article establishes that these roots are sensitive and they suffer by this fluctuation climate. The lecturer, on the other hand, posits that reducing yellow cedars is seen in both low and high elevations. He puts forth the idea that climate changes do not affect the system of roots’ trees.
