Essay topics:

Recently, the problem of wild bird injury by building glasses has been rised to the surface, so to solve this problem the author suggests three methods in the reading passage. The professor proves to his students that all these methods are not effectively stop the birds from being injured.

First, the professor clams that the using of one way glasses have a problem. this type of glasses act as a mirror and reflex the light and the images of sky and trees on it , as the bird don’t understand mirror, they start to fly toward those images because they think they are real , so that type of glasses is as bad as regular one ,may be worst. By this point the professor refutes the reading passage claiming that the bird s can see the one way glasses and distinguish them from regular glasses.
Second, the suggestion of using colorful design in building glasses is also rebuts by the lecture, because these design have to allow to the light to enter to the building, in order to do that they leave many opening in the design, which look like a hole for the birds, so the bird surely try to pass through them. to over come this problem the designer have to make the hole extremely small, that will make the building so dark, which is uncomfortable for the people living in.
The final point has been made by the professor is about the of using a magnetic field around the building to redirect the birds when they be near the building, he think this approach is unusefull in helping birds from being injured because they don’t use earth magnetic field to direst themselves along short distance , they just use this in long distance like migration in winter to warmer area, for short distance they use bare eyes. So the reading point is unpractical.
In sum, the professor explains why he is not trust any one of those approaches to prevent birds from injury. The professor has a reasonable explanation for each point and he is strongly support hid point of view.
