The passage and the lecture both are about the same topic which is whether to use employee five days a week or four days a week. The author of the passage states that four days a week job for employees would has better results. However, the professor casts doubts on the author claims. He thinks that there would be no benefit for company or employees at all.

First of all, author believes that offering employee to work four days a week, with less salary have better results for company and economy, and employees would do better job with higher quality. The professor rebuts this point by saying that it will cost more for company for providing training, health insurance, offices and computers for employees.

Second, the author claims that it would solve unemployment issue by hiring more people. The professor refutes this by mention that after establishing four days a week, employees would say that they do job of five days a week and therefor there is no need to hire extra people.

Third, the author posits that it would bring more quality to employees' life and help them to have better life. The professor goes against that by declaring for employees to advance in their job they need to work five days a week and not interacting enough with job might cause them to lose their job. Furthermore for superior to control the company it is necessary to be at company five days a week.
