TPO35

In the reading section, the writer contends that several theories have been proposed to explain the origin of the Voynich manuscript which a bookseller named Wilfrid M.Voynich acquired; However, in the lecture, the professor completely refutes all the reading points by presenting some reasons and examples.

First of all, the writer claims that Athony Ascham has been identified as a possible author of the manuscript since some illustration in the manuscript are similar to his books; on the other hand, the professor rejects this notion by stating that it is unlikely that the manuscript had been written by this author since never had he written about magical topics since he was a physician and botanist.

Moreover, the writer also states that the manuscript is really a fake and its texts has no real meaning; in contrast, the lecture again takes issue with this statement and states that it is impossible that Kelley have created the manuscript as a fake magical book to sell to a wealthy noble since it required monumental amount of time to complete.

In addition, the writer also indicates that the manuscript is actually a modern fake created by Voynich himself; in contrast, the lecture material is against this statement and express that thanks to modern technology, it has been revealed that the ink which has been used in the manuscript had been created centuries before he found the book.
