The established belief that male birds do the singing and females only listen is changing now due to the study on songbird species which indicates that female species also sing and were previously overlooked because of their soft singing and less explored habitats; moreover, the ancient species of these birds sung to prevent other birds and attract males; still it is unknown why these ancient birds left singing.
