There are many different types of music in the world today. Why do we need music? Is the traditional music of a country more important than the international music that is heard everywhere nowadays?
Today, there are lots of music genres in the world. It can be said that human existence cannot be imagined without music. There are a variety of reasons why people need music. Thereby, there is a debatable question whether traditional music is more important than international music or vice versa.
Above all, there is a widely spread phrase about music in the world that “music is the food of soul” which indicates the necessity of the music for human existence. Secondly, music helps people to express themselves, their ideas and thoughts. It arouses the emotions of men in the depths of their souls. Furthermore, music makes people feel happy and relaxing. We commence to hear music from our childhood. And it helps the children to realize the world more easily. Last but not least, music reminds us the memorable times of our lives which happened in the past. Because of these reasons, we need music.
Undoubtedly, nobody denies the importance of music; however there is an arguable question either traditional music of a country or international music is more important. To me, traditional music plays a more important role in the society. This sort of music comes from past describing our ancestors’ lifestyles, their cultural lives and etc. In contrast, international music can be heard everywhere nowadays has only a commercial face. Generally, most of them are meaningless. It usually appeals teenagers.
In summary, I write down it surely that we cannot subsist without music. Music is necessary to us as food, water, light and air. It has not only an undeniable role in our biological existence, but also in our cultural and social existence. Especially, traditional music helps us to survive our national and cultural identification in conditions of globalizing.
