The chart illustrates changes in terms of global sales of games software, CDs and DVD or video in the period of three years.
As can be seen from the table, in 2000, CD had the greatest global sales, with about 32 billion dollars, which is followed by DVD or video, sold less than 20 billion dollars. The global sale of games software was the lowest, which is only about 15 billion dollars.
From 2000 to 2003, these three years saw a huge increase of global sales in DVD or video, rising about 5 billion dollars each year and reached its peak at 32 billion dollars in 200. The global sale of games software also went up gradually but the growth rate was less significant than that of DVD or video, booming to 18 billion dollars by 2003. On the contrary, the games software’s global sale remained stable, leveling off at 32 billion dollars.
In sum, there is an upward trend for both global sales of games software and DVD or video whereas the CDS were consumed in a stable level. Even though CDs’ global sales were not changing, they still enjoyed the highest sales among the three subjects.
