You live in a room in college which you share with another student. You find it very difficult to work there because he or she always has friends visiting. They have parties in the room and sometimes borrow your things without asking you.
Write a letter to the Accommodation Officer at the college and ask for a new room next term. You would prefer a single room. Explain your reasons.
Dear Sir,
I am writing to you to express my dissatisfaction towards the behavior of my roommate. After your instructions in last semester, I had agreed to change my room. Apparently you had assured me that new room partner of mine would help me in my studies and other curricular activities as he is one of the senior students of a college.
Unfortunately, things are not going as per my expectation. Instead of helping me, he is creating more problems in my life because of many reasons. Firstly, he invites his friends in the room quite often. They are engaged in parties that normally get over in the morning. Secondly, my roommate and his friends borrow my personal belongings without my knowledge. For example, yesterday only they had taken my ipod. Finally, they make room dirty and messy.
For me it had become difficult to concentrate on my studies especially in this situation. Moreover, I am worried about my exams that are starting next month.
Thus, it is my personal request to change my room starting next semester. I would be grateful to you if single room can be arranged. I am ready to bear some extra cost.
I am looking forward to hearing soon from you. Moreover, your swift response in this matter is much appreciated.
Yours faithfully
James
