The proportion of Australian males and females doing daily exercises is depicted in the barchart. The chart contains six different age groups ranging from 15 to above 65. Overall, it can be seen clearly that the rate of women doing regular activities outweighed that of men in the majority of groups. Meanwhile, the gap became narrow when people got older.
Regarding the age group of 15 to 24, the proportion of men taking part in daily exercises was 52,8%, which was 5% higher than that of women. However, in the next two age groups, the gap between men and women doing regular physical activities extended as from 25 to 34, the rate of women exercising was just under 50%, while that of men was 42,2%. The similarity was witnessed in the age groups of 35 to 44, the percentage of women who take daily activities was significantly higher than that of men with 52,5% and nearly 40% respectively.
Moving on to describe the remaining part of the chart, in the age groups of 45 to 54 and 55 to 64, the rate of women doing regular activities was nearly 10% and 8% respectively higher than the proportion of men. However, in the last group, 65 and older, both statistic were approximately equal at neary 47%.
