The graph illustrates how different sex groups with varying ages in Australia exercised on a regular basis in 2010.
Overall, there was a tendency of higher exercising degrees in Australian women. Besides, the Australians belonging to the group of 25-35 age represented the least active group.
Amongst women, the group of 45 to 54 age ranked the first in the percentage of regular physical activity at 53%, greater than that of men which showed just 52,8%. Other next prominent age groups were the age of 55 to 64 and 35 to 44 having quite similar figures with 53% and 52,5% respectively. The remainder seemed to be less interested in exercise with the lower percentages appropriately 47%, even that of 15 to 24 aged-women was lower than that of men.
The figures of male groups were largely smaller compared to female groups. Men at the age of 15 to 24 were by far the most active ones, being the only one who had the percentage over 50%. Elder men tended to do more exercise regularly, with the percentage in two groups of over 50 age at 46,7% and 45,1%, making that of the oldest group just slightly lower than that of women. Others showed some smaller figures, with the lowest amount of 39,5% in the 35 to 44 age group.
