The bar chart provides information about the proportion of educational degree's gained by both men and women for the working age population in wales between the period of 2001 and 2002.
Overall, females were highly qualified in fields of post qraduation and GCSE grade A to C or equivalent compared to males who had graduate degrees and GCE A level or equivalent. In contrast to, huge number of males and females were not qualified while, females number of no qualifications was higher.
Males, had almost 15% of graduate degrees. Whilst, graduate females were slightly over one in ten. Higher education qualification among males was around 8%. Than, the figure showed sharp increase in qualification of males GCA level or equivalent almost at zenith. However, in GCSE grade A to C equivalent qualification in male counterparts decreased (18%). But, in other types of study males depicted rise. Also, in that period number of unqualified males were 20%.
Females were ranked higher in post graduation by almost 10% whereas, that scale lowered in terms of GCE A grade level or equivalent study than, males about 13%. While, females had highest grade in GCSE A to C or equivalent which was about a quarter. In other qualification females were lower than males by 1%. In comparison with no qualification, higher number(23%) of females were not qualified then males.
