The bar chart compares the UK and France in terms of spending on five different categories (namely cars, computers, books, perfume and camera) over the year 2010.
Overall, in the UK, people spent more money on most goods, except for computers and perfume. Specially, expenditure on cars was highest in both nations.
The amount of money spent on cars in the UK was over 450,000 pounds, which was about 50,000 higher than that of France. Following this was books which was spent slightly lower ,at over 400,000 pounds, while the figure for France was much lower, just 300,000 pounds. Both countries spent nearly the same amounts of money on computers, at over 350,000 pounds in 2010.
Turning to the remaining categories, it can be seen that perfume was spent least quantity of money by the French and the British, at exactly 200,000 and almost 150,000 pounds respectively. By contrast, there was a big difference in the spending of two countries on camera, around over 350,000 pounds was used to consumer camera in the UK, which was over double that of France.
