From this year to 1939, the figure for rented accommodation saw a fall of 10% while that of owned ones increased to 32%. Both figures stayed steady until 1953 and then each reached to 50% at 1971. In the subsequent year, the proportion of families who possessed a n accommodation exceeded the figure for households who pay for rents and by a rise of 19% the figure for former decreased to 65%. By contrast, by experiencing a fall of 19% the figure latter kept increasing to 35% by the end of 2011.
