The pie chart depicts the amount of calling duration in three modes as follows: local fixed-line, national and international fixed-line, and the last but not the least cellphones in the United Kingdom in a span of seven years from 1995 to 2002. As a general trend, it can be seen that the total talking period though telephone has been increased considerably. I will compare these three methods of communication in the following essay.
Local call duration increased gradually from seventy B.M in 1995 and reached to a peak of 90 B.M in 1998. However, in the following years, it tumbled slowly by 25 B.M in 2002.
National and international calls soar during the study period in a smooth manner in terms of duration and reached to sixty B.M in 2002 from thirty B.M in 1995. While mobile connection time experience the same condition national and international fixed-line, but with a more dramatic upturn. That is to say, it skyrocketed from approximate twenty-five B.M in 1995 to the remarkable number of forty-five B.M in 2002.
By and large, it could be beholden that during this time span, cellphones are gradually growing and becoming more popular than fixed-line methods.
